非營利組織推展智能障礙者休閒方案之個案研究─以育成社會福利基金會智障者青年友誼社為例

摘要


休閒已被證實為是提升人們生活品質的重要媒介,然而智能障礙者在參與休閒時遇到許多的阻礙。非營利組織在社會上扮演著推動智能障礙者各項福利的重要推手,當然休閒也不例外,考量智能障礙者在休閒時的特殊需求,非營利組織所推展的休閒方案便要加以設計,協助智能障礙者獲得休閒相關的技能及內涵,提升生活品質。本研究以財團法人育成社會福利基金會智障青年友誼社為個案,透過個案分析及參與式觀察的方式,配合Beck-Ford與Brown休閒訓練與治療方案模型,訪談5位方案領導者和9位方案參與者及其主要照顧者,探討友誼社在推展智能障礙者休閒方案的現況、方案執行的過程以及9位長期或多次參加的參與者休閒能力現況。研究結果發現,友誼社休閒方案逐年的內容修正和方案遠景,符合休閒訓練與治療方案模型的休閒層級晉級,參與者皆認為友誼社是他們認識朋友和好玩的所在。研究建議,友誼社未來可以繼續往休閒層級第三層級的方向去設計休閒方案,逐步引導智能障礙者透過休閒的參與,提升休閒能力及自主權益。

Leisure had been proved to be an important medium of promoting the living standard, but most of the intellectually disable people had barriers to leisure activities. Non-profit organizations(NPOs) played important roles to every social welfare of intellectually disable people, included of leisure. Those NPOs which promoted leisure programs for intellectual disables, must take intellectual disables’ special needs into consideration, to assist them learn leisure skills and leisure awareness. The research was a case study which took Intellectually Disable Adults’ Friendship Group of Yu-Chen Social Welfare Foundation for example. In order to know the whole content and procedure of the Intellectually Disable Adults’ Friendship Group, case study and participant-observation were used to collect the data. Besides, the research also used Leisure Training and Rehabilitating Program as a model, to interview five program leaders and nine participants, who had joined the Intellectually Disable Adults’ Friendship Group many times, and their main carers. The results indicated that the content and program goals of the Intellectually Disable Adults’ Friendship Group tallied with Leisure Training and Rehabilitating Program on leisure level. All the nine participants thought that the Intellectually Disable Adults’ Friendship Group was a place to meet friends and have fun. The suggestion to the Intellectually Disable Adults’ Friendship Group was that, leading those participants step by step to promote leisure abilities and self-awareness by upgrading the level of program to the third level.
