人生有三分之一的時間在睡眠中度過,睡眠品質的好壞影響了身體健康及生活品質。許多人在睡眠過程會發生打鼾的現象,但是本身不易察覺自己有無打鼾,通常都是由家人觀察才得以發現。一般人對打鼾的認知通常為睡的沉或是太疲勞,其實打鼾也是一項健康的指標。近年來有越來越多研究發現,打鼾可能是睡眠呼吸暫止症的前兆,甚至根本就患有睡眠呼吸暫止症。造成打鼾的原因為上呼吸道阻塞導致氣流不通,發生睡眠呼吸中止,引發的危險有:造成血氧濃度下降、高血壓、右心室衰竭、夜間心絞痛、甚至猝死。 本研究將建立一套體積小、低耗電的光學穿透式血氧濃度計,此系統可量測血氧濃度、心跳率及心率變異等生理數據,並將數據傳輸到電腦做紀錄。我們使用此系統進行睡眠鼾聲監測,紀錄及比較睡眠過程不易打鼾及較易打鼾的兩組受測者之生理數據,做為睡眠鼾聲對血氧濃度、心跳率及心率變異影響的初步探討。此系統提供非侵入性、連續量測、攜帶方便的特點,可做為居家醫療保健儀器的選擇。
