In the qualitative aspects, the detail interviews with teenagers and instructors were carried out.In the quantitative aspects, statistical analysis of descriptive parameters, mean, t-test of independent sample and single factor analysis of variance were applied based on the data obtained from the questionnaire survey. Results showed that 3.6 mean scale of agreement in total leisure benefits were gained for the teenagers in playing the basketball game. In which, the physical benefit was highest (3.70) followed by social benefit (3.57) and psychological benefit (3.53). Higher leisure benefits were found for male teenagers, students in physical education class, class-representatives in playing the basketball game, basketball lovers, and basketball players with long playing history. Degree of agreement that was greater than 2.20 in exercise injury classification included the sprains (2.79), contusions(2.38), and rub / cut / stabs (2.33).Wrist and/or finger injuries were caused by catching the ball that had strong ball-passing force or slipping. Ankle injury was caused by the stepping on other player’s foot or lack of full warm up exercise. Knee injury was caused by lack of suitable rest or slipping during the exercise. Suggestions have been made for students, teachers, and the school that will enhance the positive benefits and reduce the sport injury for teenagers when playing the basketball games.
