The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of the teacher leading and self determination on the learning meta-cognition to agricultural skill competitors. This research was based on a questionnaire survey among the 2010 National High School Agricultural Skill Competitors. A total of 241 questionnaires were collected with 91.3% return rate. The findings of this research were drawn as follows: (1) there is a significant difference in the self-determination of competitors who win the completion or not; (2) there is a significant difference in the learning meta-cognition among the participating identity of competitors; (3) there is a significant predicting power from the competitors’ self-determination to learning meta-cognition; (4) teacher leading becomes a significant mediating variable to the competitors’ self-determination and learning meta-cognition.
