影響技職校院學生對未來進路之因素研究

摘要


本研究主要在探討,技職校院學生對於自己的未來進路是如何決定?接受技職校院的洗禮,對於自己的生涯決策能力,會不會因為技職教育的實務導向,使得技職校院學生更願意投入職場、發揮所長?或者選擇再進修研究所?是否會從事與相關的工作或選擇在同一領域中再深造?而不同的背景、能力認知和工作價值觀,是否會影響他們的選擇?這些問題形成本研究所欲探討的現象。 本研究採問卷調查法,發放對象為修平技術學院、朝陽科技大學和勤益科技大學學生,共發放400份問卷,回收有效問卷為376份。本研究採SPSS 10.5統計套裝軟體進行統計分析。研究結果發現:不同性別、不同學院別、不同學校別、父母親教育程度和父親職業會影響學生的未來進路發展。而技職校院學生畢業後多數選擇就業,此結果與技職校院的教育方式偏向實務學習有相關;且多數受訪學生皆具有半年以上的社會工作經驗,因此傾向就業機率大。而多數學生在工作內容的選擇上傾向以以與本科系領域相關的工作。若選擇升學,則較同意就讀國內研究所,且和原本的科系相同。而家庭社經地位和學習背景等因素亦會影響受訪者未來的選擇。此外,若生涯決策自我效能越高,則工作價值觀之感受會有較高的感受,其中,以自我了解評估與收集就業資料對工作價值觀的影響較大,當了解自己確實的興趣和評估自己的能力來了解自己確實感興趣的工作,對於工作價值的感受是會相對提高。由此可知,學生若能夠在畢業前了解自身興趣發展和能力,則對於工作的選擇與工作價值的感受將具有正向影響。本研究結果可提供技職校院進行學生生涯發展和性向測量之參考,以降低學就業後的適應不良情況。

This research mainly examined how technical and vocational school students decide on their future paths. Upon reaching the end of the journey in technical and vocational schools, will the practice-oriented education in these schools influence students’ decision-making ability of their career, allowing them to be more willing to enter the working field to apply their talents and abilities? Or will they choose to pursue further education in a graduate school? Will they work in a related field or will they decide to continue their education in the same field? Will various backgrounds, capability cognition, and working values affect their selections? These questions constitute the phenomenon this research aimed to investigate. This study applied questionnaire survey, and used SPSS 10.0 statistical software to analyze data from valid questionnaires. A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed, and the number of valid questionnaires collected was 376. The participants were students from Hsiuping Institute of Technology, Chaoyang University of Technology, and National Chin-Yi University of Technology. The findings indicated that gender, different schools, different colleges, mother’s educational level and father’s occupation have an impact on the development of students’ future paths. The statement, pertaining the development of personal future path after graduation, that the technical and vocational school students agreed the most was “Ready for employment, but if there is a chance, further education is another option.” This selection is more flexible, as most of these students have already had experiences in the social working field. Owing to the practical education approach in technical and vocational schools, the students’ tolerance for the propensity to either continue education or to enter the working field is much higher. For the participants who chose the option of working in the future, most agreed on finding a job related to the field they were studying. For those who wished to continue education in the future, the most agreeable option was enrolling in the same department in a graduate school within the country. Other variables such as socio-economic status of the household and academic background can also have an effect on students’ future selections.
