This methodology of the thesis is based on the documentary analysis. The purpose of the thesis is to demonstrate the challenges to digital copyright control mechanisms posed by user download behaviors. We also list alternative business models for digital content providers to understand that the freedom of information dissemination can be good for them. Various adverse effects on digital copyright control mechanisms are cited in this study case, while benefits of using internet distribution technology are enumerated. The freedom of information might cause the human attention to become a scarce commodity, and result in attention economy. In the end, the thesis suggests that the digital content providers can find some good ideas from the web and commercialize it. Furthermore, the internet could be a low-cost marketing tool. Meanwhile, the corporate image could be better with less digital right control. It also makes consumers respect digital copyright by providing them with a more reasonable requirement.
