免治馬桶座之操作圖像之設計與研究

摘要

免治馬桶座的發明改變人們如廁後個人清潔衛生的方式，目前在使用上相較於傳統衛生紙的使用更乾淨以及更環保的特性。在操作免治馬桶座時皆是透過圖像的理解，選擇欲操作之按鍵來執行欲使用之功能，使得如何提供一個正確且辨識率高的免治馬桶座之操作圖像就變的十分重要了。然而，目前市售的免治馬桶座之操作圖像是否易於辨識是否有混淆現象的產生以及語意傳達不清的情況，以致於妨礙到免治馬桶座在操作上的便利性，因此本研究欲探討免治馬桶座之操作圖像的辨識性以及推導出其設計原則。
經由現況調查發現，目前市售之免治馬桶座經過 70 位受測者測試後，有 2/3 的圖像辨識率出現偏低的情況，並且將這些圖像依照操作模式分為八類；由於停止功能之辨識率相當好並無混淆狀況發生，所以此研究針對另外七類操作功能與文獻中所歸納出來的圖像設計原則來進行新圖像的設計；透過圖像功能符合度問卷的評估後利用單一平均數 T-test 選取出需要測試的 21 個圖像；最後，調查 30 位受測者，將所得統計結果以混淆矩陣以及 Z 檢定做分析，顯示 80% 新設計的圖像之辨識率皆有顯著地超過 ISO 所訂定的圖像辨識度標準 66.7% 。因此，研究結果顯示前洗淨組和嬰兒模式組適合抽象原則和具像原則以外，其他各組以結合原則的圖像較為適當。本研究結果可以提供將參與免治馬桶座開發的設計師們進行操作圖像設計時，作為可參考的依據。

The mankind toilet methods and the way of personal hygiene constantly are carrying on revolution along with the evolution of the times. The appearance of the stool make the moving bowels posture of human from the posture squatted down turn into a sitting posture. See with the commodities of physiological clean, different from the toilet paper, the invention of Auto Bidet Seat has more positive influence in the improvement of personal cleaning and the reduction of ecosystem environmental impact.
The Auto Bidet Seat provides a Washing Nozzle and a Bidet Nozzle featuring swirling water jets that give thorough cleanings for men & women after urinating or having bowel movements. The partial physiology sweeping feelings are such as whole body cleanness after bathing. The Auto Bidet Seat remains heated to a constant temperature all the times, so the breath-taking shock of sitting on a cold toilet seat in winter is eliminated, making it possible to use the toilet comfortably. In addition, the Auto Bidet Seat also has a massage effect which works as a suitable stimulus for improving the blood circulation or hemorrhoids.
A survey of 70 Participants on the auto bidet seat available on the market shows that 2/3 of them produce a low icon recognition. Because the recognition rate of stopping function is very fine and with no confusion, this research tries to make a new design based on other 7 functions and the icon design principles induced in literatures. After evaluates the function conforming questionnaire, this research uses T-test to select 21 tested icons, and finally investigates 30 Participants and analyzes the statistical result with Confusion Matrix and Z-test. The result shows that the recognition of new icons 80% is Significantly better than the ISO standard 66.7%. Therefore, except that the feminine wash series and baby mode series apply abstract principle and concrete principle, other series apply combining principle. Hopefully, this research could be served as a reference to the future Auto Bidet Seat designers.
