有線寬頻網路產品策略之研究 -以A 公司為例

摘要


過去數十年來已有很多有關媒體服務的傳輸網路架構被建立下來,諸如有線 電視系統(CATV)、衛星共同天線系統(SMATV)、DTH 和其他無線通訊網路 諸如Free to Air, WLAN, WiMAX 等等。頻寬的技術也從窄頻、寬頻進一步發展 到超寬頻(Ultra Broadband)。 快速的技術演進導致不同的「最後一哩」技術的突破如光纖到家(Fiber to the home ,FTTH)、乙太網路到家(Ethernet to the Home,EttH)、3GHz 超寬頻有 線電視系統、無線網路系統或其他特殊應用等等。由於有線或無線技術的競合, 網路或服務提供者正陷入選擇那一種解決方案的十字路口。 本篇論文主要著重在對各式各樣的有線通訊網路產品及產業之發展現況及 分析,進而採用SWOT 及五力分析探討個案廠商有線產品之競爭策略。 對個案廠商而言,競爭力就是保持並擴展現有在新技術、新應用或新市場上 的既有的競爭能力: 創新、彈性及差異化。並進而在降低產品成本、組織改善(秣 馬厲兵、中階主管之錘鍊、運籌彈性能力等)及加快研發速度。以提高對競爭者 之障礙、對客戶之附加價值。產品的策略就是發展能夠解決或改善在有線通訊網 路受限的頻寬所需的技術或器材設備。

Many transmission network architecture of media service has been developed during the pass decades, like CATV, SMATV, DTH and other wireless communication, including Free to Air, WLAN, WiMAX etc. The bandwidth technology has been developed from narrowband, broadband to ultra roadband. The fast revolution leads to breakthrough on various “Last Mile" technologies such as FTTH (Fiber to the Home), EttH (Ethernet to the Home), UltraBand CATV network system, Wireless network system or other special application, etc. From competition and cooperation of those wired or wireless technology, most of the network and service providers are facing the quandary to make decision for adequate solution for the network. This research is focusing on analysis of evolution & trend of wired broadband communication network product & business developement. Then, adopt SWOT analysis and Michael E. Porter’s 5-force analysis to study the strategy for the wired products business of A Corporation. For A Corporation, the competition strategy is to maintain and advance his own competitiveness on the new technology, new application and new market, from innovation, flexibility and differentiation. Furthur to reduce the product cost, improve organization and shorten product developement time, to raise the enter-barrier for competitors and additional value for cooperated partners. The product strategy is to develop the technology & products, which can improve the limted bandwidth on the wired broadband communication network.
