MAPS教學法對國小六年級學童閱讀理解能力之影響-以新北市某國小為例

The Influence of Using MAPS Teaching Method on Reading Comprehension of Six Graders - A Study of Elementary School in New Taipei City

摘要


MAPS教學法是由南投縣爽文國中王政忠主任於2010年開始實驗教學,2014年一月正式命名。MAPS教學法是融合心智繪圖(Mind Mapping)、深度提問(Asking Question)、上臺報告(Presentation)、鷹架指導(Scaffolding Instruction)四個核心策略所構成的一套教學模式。本研究旨在探討「MAPS教學法」對國小六年級學童閱讀理解能力之影響,以新北市某國小六年級210位學生為研究對象隨機分組,實驗組104人,對照組106人,進行為期六個月的閱讀教學實驗研究,由同一位教師使用相同的文本教材,以不同的教學方式進行實驗課程,實驗組採用以學生本位的MAPS教學法,對照組則採教師本位的直接教學法。此研究共進行兩次閱讀理解能力測驗,在教學實驗前二週實施第一次閱讀理解能力前測;教學實驗完成後一週內進行閱讀理解能力後測。實驗結束後以獨立樣本t檢定進行前、後測之分析比較,探究其教學法在閱讀理解四層次的效果;成對樣本t檢定比較MAPS教學法與直接教學法對學生閱讀理解能力的成效,以瞭解「MAPS教學法」對學生閱讀理解能力的影響。研究結果發現:一、「MAPS教學法」實施後,可顯著提升國小六年級學生的閱讀理解能力。二、「MAPS教學法」實施後,在閱讀理解四層次中以「層次一:直接提取」、「層次二:推論訊息」、「層次四:比較評估」最具顯著效果。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of " MAPS Teaching method " on reading comprehension of six graders- a case study of an elementary school in New Taipei City. A sample of 210 students, 104 in the experimental group and 106 in the control group, for a period of six month of reading teaching experimental research, the teacher used the same textbook and different teaching methods for the experimental courses. The experimental group adopted the student-based MAPS teaching method, while the control group adopted the teacher-based direct teaching method. In this study, two reading comprehension tests were conducted. The first reading comprehension ability was measured two weeks before the teaching experiment; after the completion of the teaching experiment, the second reading comprehension ability was measured within one week. The analysis and comparison of the pre- and post-tests were carried out with independent sample t-test after the experiment, and the effect of the teaching method on the four levels of reading comprehension was explored. The paired sample t-test compares the effectiveness of MAPS teaching method and direct teaching method to students' reading comprehension ability. To understand the impact of " MAPS Teaching method " on students' reading comprehension, the study founds: 1. After the implementation of "MAPS Teaching method ", the reading comprehension ability of the six-grader students can be improved. 2. After the implementation of the "MAPS Teaching method ", "Level one - direct extraction","Level 2 - Inference Message" and "Level 4 - Comparative Evaluation" of four levels of reading comprehension have significant effects.
