This research uses the canonical correlations analysis to discuss the relationship between sport participation motivation and sources of sport confidence, and analyze the prediction effect of sport participation motivation on sources of sport confidence by using the Multiple Stepwise Regression Analysis. The research objects are nationwide college swimming contestants in Taiwan. There are 300 questionnaires distributed and 211 returned. The valid response rate is 70.3%. There are four major findings. First, the degree of sport participation motivation of the swimming contestants is above average. Second, the degree of sources of sport confidence of the swimming contestants is above average. Third, the relationship between sport participation motivation and sources of sport confidence are positive canonical correlation. Fourth, sport participation motivation of the swimming contestants can effectively predict the sources of sport confidence.
