In workplace, most nurses are undergoing intensive working pressure. If the workplace friendship can be promoted, some work stress can be relieved for nursing staff. This study anticipates the positive impact of workplace friendship on work pressure. This study consist survey with questionnaire, and convenient data collection sampling was conducted from a regional teaching hospital in South Taiwan. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis methods. The higher intensity of the workplace friendship between nursing staffs, the lower stress they are towards work. The impact of the workplace friendship levels from high to low consist organizational level, supervision level, and between colleagues. The impact of organizational friendship is stronger than those from supervisor and colleague for nursing staff. It is necessarily for organizations to develop appropriate workplace friendship in order to assist nursing staff when dealing with their work stress.
