本研究導入廠商持續性競爭優勢(sustainable competitive advantage)概念,探討海外直接投資(foreign direct investment,FDI)對於母公司(國內廠商)本身國內經營活動之影響。我們回顧過去相關研究,從資源基礎觀點(resource-based view,RBV)、能耐基礎觀點(competence-based view,CBV)與動態能力觀點(dynamic capability view,DCV),整理廠商競爭優勢來源與其屬性,並藉由此屬性建構一整合性廠商持續性競爭優勢架構,以辨識廠商競爭優勢。本研究將國際化活動視為國際資源重分配(international resource re-allocation)的路徑,在此過程中,持續性競爭優勢扮演著促使廠商持續轉變的驅動器,以說明海外直接投資後對國內廠商經營活動之影響。我們選取四家台灣廠商進行個案分析,並根據研究發現提出相關研究命題,並且在最後提出討論與建議。
This research induces sustainable competitive advantage to discuss the effects of foreign direct investment (FDI) on domestic firm (home company). We review some related researches and summarize the sources of competitive advantage and the attributes from resource-based view (RBV), competence-based view (CBV), and dynamic capability view (DCV). We adopt these attributes to construct an integrated framework. This paper sees a firm’s internationalization or FDI as the process of international resource re-allocation. In the process, the competitive advantage is like a driver and facilitates the firm to perform the transformation. We choose 4 Taiwanese firms for case study and we propose some research proposition according the findings. This paper ends with managerial implications and research suggestions.
