科技大學妝品系實習生所需社會技能之研究

Research on the Social Skills Needed by Student Interns at Departments of Cosmetics at Universities of Science and Technology

摘要


提供高情緒勞務的美容從業人員,更仰賴社會技能(social skill)來呈現高感度人才之服務特質。國內美容經營環境快速轉變中,但其成功關鍵是「優質的從業人員」。職場實習課程是科技大學校院(含科技大學和技術學院)妝品系學生,由學校轉銜至職場的重要學習機會,須受到相當的重視。本研究透過焦點團體法蒐集Spa美容人力資源專家意見,釐清專業技術人員所需社會技能。再以某技術學院化妝品應用系實習生及Spa美容實習單位績優美容師為樣本,採立意取樣的方式,問卷調查該職場領域的生手與熟手之問,在社會技能上的差異。結果發現在社會技能的六個構面中,實習生在情緒覺察(ES)、情緒控制(EC)、社交覺察(SS)、社交控制(SC)四個構面和績優美療師有顯著差異。其中績優美療師的情緒覺察(ES)、情緒控制(EC)及社交控制(SC)三構面皆高於實習生,唯在社交覺察(SS)上,實習生高於績優美療師。研究結果可做為實習生到實習場所實習前,在校內安排社會技能訓練,或透過熟手的帶領,強化社會技能的重要參考。

Beauticians and cosmeticians who provide high emotional labor rely on social skills to demonstrate the service qualities of personnel with high sensitivity. In the context of rapid changes in the domestic beauty business environment, the key to success is having outstanding personnel in the business. Intern courses in the workplace are important learning opportunities for cosmetics students in technological universities (including universities of science and technology and technical colleges) as they transition to the workplace, thus they receive considerable attention. This study used the focus group method to collect opinions from human resources experts in spa beauty to clarify the social skills needed by professional technicians. Student interns from the applied cosmetics department of a technical college and spa beauty therapists with good performance from spa and beauty interning institutions were treated as research subjects. Purposive sampling was used in questionnaire survey to investigate differences in social skills between the novices and experts in this occupational field. Results showed that in the six aspects of social skills, there were significant differences between student interns and beauty therapists with good performance in the four aspects of Emotional Sensitivity (ES), Emotional Control (EC), Social Sensitivity (SS), and Social Control (SC). Of which, beauty therapists with good performance are higher than student interns in the three aspects of Emotional Sensitivity (ES), Emotional Control (EC), and Social Control (SC), except in Social Sensitivity (SS). where student interns are higher than beauty therapists with good performance. The research results can be used as an important reference for student interns before they officially start interning to arrange social skills training in schools or from expert guidance, to strengthen their social skills.
