This is a case about an old man who committed suicide with organic phosphate pesticide. Initially, we evaluated him by Gordon's method, and it showed poor airway clearance existing damage caused by organic phosphate pesticide, high risk of infection, and poor compensatory ability .Aim of nursing care included accurate, effective evaluation with appropriate therapy to minimize the injury. During acute phase, decrease of toxic injury and life saving were the main policy. When stabilized, mental supports through doctors, nurses, and family were then applied. After that, the patient was successfully stabilized and gained fully mental and physical recovery. We're glad to share this successful experience with all the readers.
