Understanding the mental reactions of children with cancer symptoms and illness is one of the goals of nurses. The culture and development of competences in humanistic nursing care are vital issues in nursing education and knowledge development. Humanistic nursing care focuses on psychological mechanism of human experience, as well as incorporating humanistic knowledge and concepts into nursing interventions in order to understand children's illness experience and present the healing process. This article applies the intentionality concept of phenomenology to understand the body experience of children with brain tumor. A nursing healing intervention combing using ethnography method to explore the mechanism of self healing process is implemented, in order to illustrate the possibilities of using humanistic perspectives, concepts and research methods in humanistic nursing knowledge development. Furthermore, it needs reflection of patients in suffering situation, throughout appropriateness of the integrating of humanistic field and nursing field, the creativity of humanistic nursing healing knowledge development and the contents of humanistic nursing education as well.
