The purpose of the current study is to construct the dimensions and indictors of visionary leadership in Taiwan. This is an exploratory research. Total 186 principals participated in the study. Both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies were utilized. Four data collection stages were applied that involved the focus-group seminar, clinical interview, the indicators transformed and reviewed process. The quantitative method was applied to evaluate the validity of the indicators based on the questionnaire survey approach. There were 89 surveys were collected, including 51 male and 38 female principals. The results can be referenced for school evaluation, for principals preparing curriculum, and for conveying experiences for expert and novice principals.
