Mainland China's macroeconomic policies have been ruled by new mercantilism and Keynesianism since 1990s. Though Mainland China has created the second biggest GDP total value, problems also appeared, such as inf1ation, slow industry upgrading, unbalanced economic structure and so on. As Mainland China's developing model during recent 20 years is similar with Taiwan's during 1960-1980s, this paper decides to rethink Mainland China's new mercantilism and Keynesianism macroeconomic policies based on Taiwan's experience, looking for a way that could help Mainland China get sustainable development.
