摘要


本論文旨在對《發揮大腦潛能,促進學習效率》一書英譯中的理論與實務做探討,全文共分五章,第一章為緒論;第二章為本書作者、作品以及譯者譯作簡介與相關文獻探討;第三章為合乎譯入語習慣的歸化翻譯策略;第四章為吸取異文化特質的異化翻譯策略;第五章為結論。筆者藉由實際翻譯本書原文句子來舉例說明如何應用一些翻譯理論來支持本論文之翻譯策略和相關評論,同時希望本論文能夠提供給對大腦如何運作以及對相關主題的翻譯有興趣的人一些助益和有用的建議。

The topic of this thesis, A Study of English-to-Chinese Translation of Power Up Your Mind: Theory and Practice, consists of five chapters. Chapter One is the introduction. Chapter Two is a review of the author and his book, Power Up Your Mind, and the versions of the translators of this book and their translation. Chapter Three discusses the strategies of domesticating translation used in the thesis. Chapter Four is the discussion of the strategies of foreignizing translation used in analyzing Power Up Your Mind. And chapter Fve is the conclusion. The writer of this thesis gives many examples of translation review by practically translating the sentences of Power Up Your Mind and hopes that those who are interested in the topic in relation to the human brain and its translations will find this thesis helpful and useful.
