The Internet is the rapidest method so far to transmit messages. However, as the website data transmission increases, users begin to experience usability barriers, such as cognitive overload and disorientation, when browsing websites. Therefore, navigation systems become crucial in website designs. Sitemaps can clearly present the website composition and breadcrumbs enable users to clearly determine the current position in the website. We analyze these two navigation systems and integrate their advantages to design a new navigation system, followed by usability and hedonic quality evaluation. The result indicates that although sitemap crumbs may require improving appearance designs and hedonic quality, the system usability scale shows good evaluation results. Moreover, users who have experience in using traditional breadcrumbs make better evaluations in using the novel system.
