提升鼻科手術器械包盤使用率之改善專案

A project to improve the usage rate of package tray for nose surgical instruments

摘要


手術器械是執行手術必備工具,也是手術成功與否的關鍵。臨床發現因新技術而增加器械品項,原器械內容物未重新檢視導致包盤內容物增加及使用率低,甚至整理器械包盤耗時引起抱怨。本專案目的提升鼻科手術器械包盤使用率,透過六項改善措施制訂鼻科器械包盤管理標準、檢討使用率未達95%的器械包盤設定量與內件數設定量、檢討使用率0%的器械包盤下架、設計器械包盤明細與圖檔、舉辦在職教育,其結果器械包盤使用率由38.2%提升至95.3%;內件數使用率由42.6%提升至95%;護理人員對器械包盤清點耗費時間由1779秒下降至1302秒,下降477秒;藉由專案改善達到有效器械包盤供應,不僅提升使用率亦提升手術室工作效率。

Surgical instruments are essential in surgery and are also the key to successful surgery. In clinical practice, adding instruments based on new surgical techniques without re-evaluation of the original tray may cause an increase in tray contents and a decrease usage rate, even leading complaints when organizing instrument trays. This project aimed to enhance the usage rate of the rhinological surgical tray via six improvement measures: establishing rhinological instrument tray standard management procedures; evaluating quantity of instruments which were under 95 % of usage rate; removing trays which were 0% usage; establishing detailed lists and picture files of the trays; and arranging in-service education. The results of this process were that the usage rate of trays increased from 38.2% to 95.3% and the usage rate for instruments in the trays increased from 42.6% to 95%. The average time for inventory check decreased by 477 seconds (from 1779 to 1302). With this project we achieved a productive method of supplying instrument trays that enhanced the usage rate as well as improved work efficiency.
