摘要

二次大戰後由於無數人民被一些殘暴政權所殺害，人權逐漸成為世界性的議題。本文試圖探討政治鎮壓的因果關係，研究發現殺害比監禁更會引起人民的抗議或是革命，因為殺害比監禁更為殘酷。政權鎮壓越殘酷，人民的反抗越激烈，無論是抗議或是革命。

Human rights becomes a worldwide issue since the end of World War II because countless people were killed by regimes. This paper will explore the causal factors and impacts of “political repression”. The research finding tells us the torture has more effects on either antigovernment or revolution than the political imprisonment, because the torture is more severe than the political imprisonment. ie. The more severe the regimes’ repression, the more people resist, either protests or revolutions.
