葉朗的新著《美學原理》以「意象」為本體闡發美學基本問題，建立以「意象」為核心的美學理論體系，不僅回答和解決了學術界所關注的一些前沿性的美學課題，而且使人們深刻意識到審美與人生，與精神境界提升的關係。葉著的出版，是對中國當代美學原理建設的重要推動。

Ye Lang's new bookmaking, ”Aesthetic Principle” using ”Yi xiang” as the noumenon to clarify the basic issues of Aesthetics and establish the aesthetic theory system which takes ”Yi xiang” as the core. It not only responses and settles some cutting-edge aesthetic problems which are concerned by the academia, but also makes people realize profoundly the relationship of aesthetics and life; meanwhile, it reveals the connection between aesthetics and the promotion of pneuma. The publication of Ye's book, is one of the most significant impetus of construction of China's contemporary aesthetic principle.
