桃園縣幼兒家長選擇才藝班之研究─教育選擇權的觀點

摘要

近年來社會快速變遷，許多婦女皆投入職場，致使雙薪家庭結構成為社會常態，伴隨著少子化問題日益嚴重，故家長對於子女的教育亦愈重視。基於「望子成龍，望女成鳳」的心態，家長更希望竭盡所能給予孩子贏在起跑點的能力，因此對於才藝班的需求也不斷增加。本研究是以深度訪談法研究八位子女友學習才藝的學前幼兒家長、三位才藝教師及四位經營者，以了解當前才藝學習現況及影響家長選擇才藝班之因素。主要研究目的是：一、了解桃園縣私立幼稚園幼兒參加課後才藝班之現況。二、探討學前幼兒家長選擇才藝班之需求及期望。三、探究「文化資本」對學前幼兒家長選擇才藝班時考量的影響。四、提供政府制定及修正相關幼兒教育政策之參考。研究之後發現以下結果：
一、桃園縣私立幼稚園才藝班多開設藝術學習，大班家長多選擇智能學習。
二、學前幼兒家長對才藝學習產生需求，期望培養孩子學習興趣。
三、家長文化資本影響其選擇才藝班的類型及數量。
四、五歲幼兒免學費政策對選擇才藝班有正向影響。
五、家長才藝學習之教育選擇權轉移至子女身上。
六、家長對才藝學習之滿意度影響未來才藝選擇。
最後根據研究結果再對學前幼兒家長、經營者、才藝教師以及未來研究者提出不同的建議。

In recent years there were many rapid changes to the society, resulting more and more women entered work field, which made double-income family structure the norm. Due to the low birth rate gradually became an issue, parents takes children’s education more serious. In order to let their children "have a bright future," parents are willing to give all they can to their children just to let their children have a step ahead in the starting line. Therefore, the demands for after school program increased. This study is based on an in-depth interview with eight parents with pre-school children who's learning in the after school program, three after school program teachers, and four owners of the cram schools to understand the current situation and factors that influence parents' decision on after school program.
The main focus on this research is to: First, understand Taoyuan County's private kindergarten childrens' situation participating in after school programs; second, to explore the needs and expectations of parents in regard to choose after school program; third, to investigate the affect of cultural capital in parents' choosing of after school program; fourth, to provide reference for the government to establish and modify children education related policies. The results of the research have the below finding:
1. Private kindergarten after school program in Taoyuan County mostly provide enrichment study, while parents usually prefer intellectual study.
2. Parents with pre-school children demand enrichment classes, hoping to cultivate children’s' learning interest
3. Parents' cultural capital affect the category and quantity in choosing after school programs
4. Five year old children tuition free policy have a positive impact on the decision of choosing after school classes
5. Parents give their children the opportunity to choose their after school programs.
6. The satisfaction of the classes concern parents in the future selection.
7. The level of satisfaction to the learning affect future selection of the programs
Based on the research results on the parents, owners, teachers, and future researchers propose different suggestions.
