莫仁奇幻小說《星戰英雄》、《星路謎蹤》研究

Study on Mo Ren's fantasy fictions: A Hero in Star Wars, Traces Lost on the Road to the Star

摘要

通俗的類型文學因其藝術性及思想性較不深刻，學術界對於此類研究也較少見，關於台灣奇幻小說作家及其作品的學術論文更是少數中的少數。本文以莫仁小說作品《星戰英雄》及《星路謎蹤》為研究文本，先整理莫仁的生平、創作理念與作品大要，再以奇幻元素角度，從小說之情節、人物、背景與英雄成長等，深入挖掘與歸納這兩部作品的寫作手法，發現莫仁是以「內在一致的邏輯」、「濃厚的歷史感」及各具特色的圓形、扁平人物，再加上英雄旅程的三階段—啟程、啟蒙與回歸—運用巧思與創新走出了自己的風格，從而建構了一個近似真實的奇幻小說世界。筆者同時也發現莫仁如何以娛樂的方式，從小說主題中的內涵與哲理之存在與複雜的度角，帶領讀者去認識生命的意義，因而達到市場暢銷小說創作的祕密。

Study on Mo Ren's fantasy fictions: A Hero in Star Wars, Traces Lost on the Road to the Star
Abstract
Research done on popular fictions from the past up to the present is rare since it is seen as inferior to the intellectual ones in both of thoughts and artistry in Taiwan. It is even rarer than any others when it comes to fantasy writing. This article attempts to discover the artistic value of Mo Ren's Fantasy fictions. The discussions start with an introduction to Mo Ren's writing career and his publication chronological table, then, applying the approach of E. M. Foster's theory to analyze how he created his characters, successfully organized the plots to be a heroic adventure. With the writing technique, Mo Ren deeply presented his thoughts about human's existence in the world in an entertaining way. That is why Mo Ren has earned a big popularity in the book market.
