RFID Smart Medicine Cabinet with SMS Notification System Design

摘要

射頻識別(RFID)電子標籤系統和無線區域網路的整合在許多產業應用包括居家照護方面具有無限潛能。本文說明如何有效的整合利用RFID以及GSM (global system for mobile communication )系統的『短信息服務』( short message service )特性，設計一個結合RFID技術的智慧型藥櫃及警訊發送系統，比如校園RFID門禁通報系統等。本論文智慧型藥櫃目標將建立一個長期受照護的慢性病患或年長者居家服用藥物提醒及管理系統，定時提醒受照護者服藥，若拿錯藥物或未按時服用藥物時，能警示受照護者及其家屬或家庭醫師，有助於解決因家屬外出工作而獨居的受照護者在事故發生時無法即時與其親屬聯繫的困擾。

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems and global system for mobile communications are both promising technologies for various applications including home healthcare. We propose a system design of smart medical cabinet that can send the SMS messages, which is stored in a RFID-based database, through the global system for mobile communication to someone who is concern for home healthcare purpose. This design would immediately help to enhance the contact between elderly people and his (or her) relatives who have to work outside. This system is also useful for child tracking.
