本研究之目的在於探討多媒體教學應用於高職汽車修護科英語低學習成就學生的適用性與可行性、學習或教學所遭遇的問題,並發展出適用於英語科教學的多媒體教材。研究對象為研究者所服務的學校高職部一年忠班三十四位學生,該班學生英語程度普遍不佳。在國中時期,他們已經幾乎放棄英語學習,在就讀高職後,英語能力與學習態度皆十分低落。本研究主要採用行動研究及訪談與觀察等質性研究方法來蒐集相關資料並進行分析,獲得下列結論: 一、多媒體英語教學能提升學生的英語學習成效。 二、影響英語學習成效最大的因素在於學生的基本能力不足,教學內容宜結合學生的背景與教簡單之教學內容,才能引起學生的共鳴。 三、影響多媒體英語教學的障礙因素為:高職英語教材對學生而言難度稍高、教師較沒有充分的時間妥善準備多媒體教材、學生需要更多的同儕競爭學習刺激、考試進度壓力使得英語教師選擇較可以掌控進度的傳統教學。 基於上述研究發現,本研究提出以下建議: 一、英語教師從事多媒體教學時,宜事前將教材和教具準備妥善、多媒體教學宜配合設計良好的學習單,少量多次的評量策略可以顯著提升學生的英語成績,身為教師應不斷思考如何運用現代科技。 二、未來的研究可探討不同科科目,如數學科、國文科、地理科等,進一步了解不同科目之差異性。
The purpose of the study is to explore the multimedia used in the automobile department of low-achieving students learning English Teaching applicability and feasibility. Multimedia English Teaching problems encountered, the actual results of multimedia English teaching and hope to develop a suitable English language teaching of multimedia teaching materials. The research participants are 34 freshmen of automobile department, they have poor English ability. When they were junior high school students, they almost give up learning English, after they attend vocational high school, by using multimedia to promote their abilities of learning English. The purpose of the research uses action research and qualitative research to get data analysis and some conclusions are listed below. 1. The multimedia teaching promotes the achievements and interests of students’ English learning. 2. The research results show that the most influential factor is students’ poor English ability, and teaching contents combine students’ background to get students resonance. 3. The most influential factor of learning English is that the contents of textbook are too difficult、teachers don’t have enough time to prepare multimedia material、students need more peer stimulation、test pressure lets teachers choose traditional teaching methods to control progress. According to the above conclusions, and listed as follows 1. For teachers: We prepare teaching materials and tools well in advance、multimedia teaching matches good learning sheets、A small number of repeated tests to improve performances. Being a teacher constantly thinks tow to use modern technology well. 3. To do research on different subjects,such as math, Chinese or geography and so on. To understand more the differences of diverse subjects.
