Search Symbol (Half-width)	Description of Search Symbols
Space	"AND" indicates the intertwining of key terms used in a search
Double Quotation Marks ("") ( " " )	Double quotation marks indicate the beginning and end of a phrase, and the search will only include terms that appear in the same order of those within the quotations. Example: "image process" ： " image process "
?	Indicates a variable letter. Entering two ? will indicate two variable letters, and so on. Example: "Appl?", search results will yield apple, apply… e , appl y … ( (often used to English word searches) )

Using DOI as a persistent link

To create a persistent link, add「http://dx.doi.org/」「 http://dx.doi.org/ 」 before a DOI.
For instance, if the DOI of an article is 10.5297/ser.1201.002 , you can link persistently to the article by entering the following link in your browser: http://dx.doi.org/ 10.5297/ser.1201.002 。
The DOI link will always direct you to the most updated article page no matter how the publisher changes the document's position, avoiding errors when engaging in important research.

Cite a document with DOI

When citing references, you should also cite the DOI if the article has one. If your citation guideline does not include DOIs, you may cite the DOI link.

In recent years, people become more and more unsatisfied with the government and lack confidence in the society. This may cause people to be cynical about human nature. Such phenomenon will reduce the social capital and have a bad effect upon the future of the country. As a result, to decrease individual’s social cynicism becomes an important issue. First, we try to explore how social cynicism influence individual’s well-being and political participation behavior. Then, we use presidential election as an example to find out what makes social cynicism change. In addition, we think that the degree of social cynicism decrease may have differences between people with different party identification, ethnic identification, and vote decides. The sample included 260 people from general public. The findings indicate that, （1）when the more cynical people become, the less well-being they would have. （2）People become less cynical after the presidential election. （3）After the election, people who identified with the new president, their social cynicism had diminished, on the contrary, people who didn’t identify with the new president, their social cynicism showed no difference.（4）When people supported the new president, they became less cynical, but when the candidate they support were failed, they would feel upset and pessimistic. Finally, we have a discussion on the results of study, research limitations and future research directions.
