中學生人格特質、網路使用行為及人際關係之研究-以南科國際實驗中學為例

A Study of High School Students’ Personality Traits, Internet Usage Behaviors, and Interpersonal Relationships: A Case of National Nanke International Experimental High School

摘要


隨著網路時代的來臨,網絡人際關係已成為現代人人際互動重要的一環。本研究的目的在於了解中學生人格特質、網路使用行為及人際關係的相關性。此外,另探討不同性別、學制、每週不同上網時間及家長管教態度在中學生在人格特質、網路使用行為及人際關係的差異性。本研究係以臺南市南科國際實驗中學部為研究對象,有效樣本為220人。研究問卷涵蓋學生基本資料表、人格特質、網路使用行為以及人際關係等四個部分。所得的資料以描述性統計、Pearson積差相關、t 檢定、Scheffe多重比較法及迴歸分析等方法進行統計分析。本研究得到主要的結論如下: 一、中學生人格特質、網路使用行為與人際關係之現況,各項分數均接近中間值且呈穩定狀態,整體而言發展情況良好。 二、中學生人格特質、網路使用行為與人際關係在不同背景變項上差異分析: (一)不同個人背景變項的中學生在人格特質部份,除不同學制無差異外,其餘在不同性別、每週不同上網次數及家長對子女網路使用之態度均有部份顯著差異。 (二)不同個人背景變項的中學生在網路使用行為部份,除不同學制無差異外,其餘在不同性別及家長對子女網路使用之態度均有部份顯著差異,尤其每週不同上網次數對網路使用行為,全部具顯著差異性。 (三)不同個人背景變項的中學生在人際關係部份,除每週不同上網次數及家長對子女網路使用之態度無差異外,其餘在不同性別、不同學制均有部份顯著差異。 三、人格特質、網路使用行為與人際關係之相關性分析,兩兩之間皆有部份正向相關存在。 四、人格特質之「聰穎開放性」及「和善性」兩者對人際關係具有迴歸預測力,可運用此兩者特質來衡量人際關係的表現。 五、網路使用行為之「情感支持性」對人際關係具有迴歸預測力,可運用該行為來衡量人際關係的表現。 本研究結果顯示,中學生人格特質與網路使用行為及其人際關係有密不可分的相關性。透過網路使用行為的瞭解,有助於輔導中學時期的學生,提供正確的網路使用觀念、改善人際關係及發展正向的人格特質。

The interpersonal relationship on internet has already become an essential part of interpersonal interaction with the emerging of internet era. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among the internet usage behaviors and interpersonal relationships as well as personality traits of high school students. The study also investigated the differences upon different gender, academic systems, time spent on internet each week, disciplining attitudes of parents and the personality traits of high school students. The participants of this study were the students from National Nanke International Experimental High School. The valid samples consisted of 220 students. The data of the study were gathered from questionnaires surveys. The items of this research instrument included four parts: personal data, personality traits, internet usage behaviors, and interpersonal relationships. The returned data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis, t-test, Scheffe multiple comparisons test and regression analysis. The main findings of this study were as follows: 1. All of the scores of personality traits, internet usage behaviors, interpersonal relationships were close to median value stably. In all, the students’ development was pretty well. 2. The results of differences for personality traits, internet usage behaviors and interpersonal relationships based on different demographic variables showed that: (1) The results of comparative study of personality traits of students in different demographic variables showed that there were partial significant differences found in gender, weekly internet use frequencies, and parents’ attitudes towards their children’s internet use behaviors. No significant difference among students in different academic systems was found. (2) The results of comparative study of internet usage behaviors of students in different demographic variables showed that there were partial significant differences in genders, attitudes of parents towards internet usage of students and weekly internet usage frequencies which showed significant difference especially. The difference was not found in different academic system. (3) The results of comparative study of interpersonal relationship of students in different demographic variables showed that there were partial significant differences in different genders and academic systems. The difference was not found in attitudes of parents towards internet usage of students and weekly internet usage frequencies. 3. As for the relationship among personality traits, internet usage behaviors and interpersonal relationships, there were partially positive relationships between each other of the three. 4. The regressssion analysis; constructs showed that the relationship between interpersonal relationship and personality traits which included “agreeableness” and “intellectual openness” was predictable. It can be predicted the outcome of interpersonal relationships by those two traits of personality. 5. The regression analysis showed that the relationship between “emotional support” of internet usage behaviors and interpersonal relationship was predictable, that can be used to predict the outcome of interpersonal relationship. As the results of the study, there is a close relationship among personality traits, internet usage behaviors and interpersonal relationship of the National Nanke International Experimental High School. The findings above mentioned will be helpful for positive personality development, correct internet usage behaviors, and interpersonal relationship improvement of high school students in Taiwan.
