This study investigated the career development of preschool teachers who changed their career to be an editor of teaching materials. By understanding editors' role in their job and their job content, this paper aimed to provide some thoughts for preschool educators and assist students of childcare studies in career planning. Data were collected from interviews and autobiographies. The focuses of the research included getting to know the self, identifying personal specialties in childcare, promotion of creativity and professional development, the role that requires integration of multiple abilities, improvement in interpersonal skills, and application of professional knowledge in preschool education and advantages in practice. Based on research findings, this study finally proposed some suggestions to preschool teachers, preschool teacher training institutions, and counselors for students of childcare studies.
