Physiol, 21(3): 137-142, 1973.-Eight subjects, selected to represent the 1st to 99th percentile aviator in height and weight, were subjected to 2 hours vibration (±0,5Gz at 25Hz) while seated. Accelerations were measured at the head and at the seat to determine ”absorbed” vibration. There was a significant correlation for sitting height and ”absorbed” g at one hour of exposure and for ”absorbed” g and weight, body fat, and lean body weight atone and one-half hours. Implications are discussed.
