Orthodontic and periodontal management of the patient with unilateral labial ectopic erupted maxillary canine and advanced external root resorption of the adjacent lateral incisor is presented. In treating the patient, the affected lateral incisor was extracted, substituting the canine for it, and treating to both Class I molar relationships while right maxillary bicuspid and mandibular bicuspids are extracted. Final results revealed acceptable periodontal health, along with the esthetic and functional occlusion.
