The purpose of this study was to analyze the revisions made on the scoring criteria for floor exercise, rings, and high bar in International Men's Artistic Gymnastics of 2013, the methods applied the routine adopted by excellent domestic as well as foreign gymnasts as examples to illustrate the revised scoring criteria, and discussed their impacts on routine choreography. The results indicated that the revised scoring criteria made the restrictions for performing 11/2 somersaults to roll forward movement, and did the stricter restriction both on routine pathway and non-flipping movements frequencies on the floor exercise. For rings, the frequencies of strength elements connections were reduced. In high bar, the connection bonuses for flight elements were modified for matching the specifications of single item, while the frequencies of stoop in shoots were reduced. The conclusions indicated that the movement arrangements became the coming key points to perform the somersaults on the floor exercise, swing elements of Level B or above were inserted in the routine of rings, and flipping and hopping movement connections on high bar.
