由於十二年國民基本教育的實施,高級中等學校成為教育改革的重點。目前針對高中校長領導的論文並不多,無法捕捉高中的豐富性和背景。本研究選擇一所普通型高中為研究對象,以質性研究的方法,探究高中的領導脈絡,以及校長的領導實踐作為。個案學校的背景脈絡包括:學校有多元特質的師生組合、教師專業自主以學科為中心、學生生活規範改變不易、升學主義的環境氛圍及高度授權主任的行政傳統,而校長採取的領導作為包括:重視人際領導、課程領導強調智識啟發、文化領導重視意見溝通、變革領導聚焦特色招生、整合領導扮演關鍵角色。本研究建議個案學校校長可再強化特色課程、教學觀察及教師專業發展評鑑等作為,並投注更多心力,進行成效的檢核及各單位的協調、資源分配,而教育政策在高中的實際落實情形,以及高中校長的領導作為與效能,值得持續進行探究。
Due to twelve-year compulsory education was implemented nationwide, senior high schools have become the focus of education reform. Current theses on the leadership of senior high school principals are few and do not capture the complexities and background of senior high schools. This study selected one senior high school as its research subject and used qualitative research methods to investigate the leadership network of senior high schools and the leadership practices of principals. The background of the case school was found to include the following aspect: different characteristics of students and faculty, the professional autonomy of subject-matter departments, the norms of student discipline are difficult to change, there is an environment of credential ism, and traditional administration occurs through high authority directors. Aspects of principal leadership actions included the following: the importance of interpersonal leadership, an emphasis on intellectual stimulation in course leadership, an emphasis on the communication of opinions in cultural leadership, a focus on special enrollment in reform leadership, and the important role of connective leadership. This study suggested the principal of the case school could strengthen special courses, teaching observation, and the evaluation of teachers' professional development, and invest more effort in conducting effective examinations and coordination and resource allocation between units. The actual implementation of education policies in senior high schools and the actions and effectiveness of senior high school principal leadership are worth further investigation.
