In order to encourage community empowerment and its independent and to solve problems of aging society and nuclear families in Taiwan, Ministry of the Interior issued a Project of Community Care Service Station in March 2005. It required that community care services should be provided by the voluntary sector in the community under the government's subsidies. Health promotion services were included. The population of elderly people has been dramatically raised in Kao-Hsiung City. Generally speaking, being located in the southern Taiwan, Kao-Hsiung City has been regarded as a traditional city. How a community care service station works may be different. This research dealt an examination of the effectiveness and efficiency on ”community care service centre” in Kao-Hsiung City. Several optimum running models and policies for different community care service centers in Kao-Hsiung City were suggested in the research.
