In recent years, many tennis players from Taiwan had achieved significant advancement in the international contests. For bringing the skill and talent into full play, the tennis players must keep their physical ability on the optimum state. In another word, physical ability is the premise for enhancement of tennis skills and performances, and it plays an critical role on result of the contests.This paper discussed the importance of physical ability for tennis players training based on the author's many years coaching experiences. Besides, the author also referred to the related literatures from experts in this filed. This paper concluded that elementary physical ability which should be emphasized in the training courses included endurance training, weight training, speed training, softness training, and circulation training.
