網球運動參與者人格特質與涉入程度之研究

摘要

本研究之目的在探討網球運動參與者之人格特質與涉入程度之現況及不同背景在人格特質與涉入程度之差異，並探討人格特質與涉入程度之關係及預測情形。本研究採用問卷調查法以立意抽樣共計發300份問卷，有效問卷262份，研究結果如下：一、網球運動參與者之人格特質以「嚴謹性」、涉入程度以「愉悅性」得分最高。二、背景變項中的「性別」及「職業」在人格特質中的「嚴謹性」及「開放性」達顯著差異；「球齡」及「練習時數」在人格特質中的「嚴謹性」達顯著差異。三、背景變項中的「性別」在涉入程度中的「重要性」達顯著差異；「球齡」、「練習時數」及「職業」在涉入程度中的「重要性」及「愉悅性」達顯著差異，而「年齡」則在「愉悅性」達顯著之差異。四、網球運動參與者在人格特質中除「神經質」構面外皆與涉入程度各構面達顯著相關。五、人格特質中的五個因素可預測涉入程度為43.7％。本研究針對其研究結果提出之建議可作為相關單位之參考依據。

The aim of the present study is to explore the character traits and level of involvement in the sport of tennis players, as well as the differences in character traits and level of involvement seen in players from different backgrounds; the study also seeks to explore the relationship between character traits and level of involvement and the extent to which this can be predicted. The study utilized a questionnaire survey with purposive sampling; a total of 300 questionnaires were distributed, with 262 valid questionnaires returned. The results obtained in the study were as follows: (1) In terms of character traits, the highest score was obtained by the “painstaking” character trait; in terms of level of involvement, the highest score was obtained by ＂enjoyment.＂ (2) Of the background variables, ＂gender＂ and ＂occupation＂ showed significant disparity with respect to the ＂painstaking＂ and ＂outgoing＂ character traits, while ＂years of experience playing tennis＂ and ＂amount of time spent practicing＂ showed significant disparity with respect to the ＂painstaking＂ character trait. (3) The ＂gender＂ background variable showed significant disparity with respect to the ＂importance＂ level of involvement indicator, while ＂years of experience playing tennis,＂ ＂amount of time spent practicing＂ and ＂occupation＂ showed significant disparity with respect to both ＂importance＂ and ＂enjoyment＂; ＂age＂ showed significant disparity with respect to ＂enjoyment.＂ (4) With the exception of the ＂highly-strung＂ character trait, a significant correlation is seen between all character traits and level of involvement on the part of tennis players. (5) The extent to which the five categories of personality trait can be predicted was found to be 43.7%. On the basis of the results obtained, the study puts forward a number of recommendations for the reference of relevant organizations and agencies.
