In this article, smart features of the commercial controllers of DMG MORI, OKUMA and FANUC are introduced. The four major development directions, intelligent machining, intelligent automation, intelligent setup and intelligent maintenance, are described in detail. So-called knowing your enemy and knowing yourself, this article is offered to domestic controller manufacturers as a reference. Along with domestic makers’ customization capability, we hope they remain competitive in the aerospace, medical, and smart machinery industries.
