洪建全視聽圖書館的音樂推廣與社會意義

摘要


本研究針對「洪建全視聽圖書館」從1973年開始籌備到1975年創立至1988年轉型,對推廣音樂的貢獻所產生的社會意義。   在二十世紀的七○年代,臺灣的民間基金會多以醫療救濟為主要工作,然而,「洪建全教育文化基金會」,興辦視聽圖書館,致力於音樂文化上的推廣,在當時政治上屬戒嚴時期,經濟上國民所得不高,音樂文化並非普及的年代,對於沒有經濟能力接觸到的音樂的社會大眾,可謂是一大福音;由於館內的收藏,以致力於不易取得或即將消失的有聲資料為主要目標,對於專業音樂人才更是音樂資源的寶庫;從出版品的類型中,看出其重視民族音樂的收集及支持臺灣作曲家的作品;為了創造音樂環境,針對不同的對象,舉辦不同類型的音樂活動;在傳遞音樂知識上,運用館刊及廣播等媒介,在短短的十五年間,對臺灣社會的音樂推廣上,有其正面並不可抺滅的影響。   本研究分別從「洪建全視聽圖書館」發展歷程及其特色、舉辦的音樂活動內容、出版的有聲資料,以及它與臺灣社會的互動,以說明「洪建全視聽圖書館」的音樂推廣及社會意義。

This research studies the social significance of the contributions made by Hong’s Audio-Visual Library’s promotion of music culture and events, between its conception in 1973 and establishment in 1975, and between 1975 and 1988 when it underwent a major transformation. In the 1970's, the private foundations in Taiwan were mainly engaged in providing medical relief. However, Hong's Foundation for Education and Culture established an audio-visual library and dedicated itself to the promotion of the music culture; during that era of martial law, modest per-capita income, and limited exposure to musical culture and appreciation, the organization was a great boon for the masses who could not afford the access to music. Because the museum focused on gathering material that was rare or about to be lost, it became a treasure trove of musical resources for professional musicians; the museum’s publications’ categories revealed its emphasis on folk music collection and its support for Taiwanese composers’ works. In order to create music environment, the museum organized different types of music activities geared to respective audiences. The dissemination of musical knowledge was achieved through museum publications and broadcast media. In a short span of fifteen years, its efforts in popularizing music throughout the Taiwanese society had left a positive and indelible influence. This study explains the Library’s promotion of music and its social significance through discussions of its development process and characteristics, its music-related events and activities, its audio publications, and its interactions with the Taiwanese society.
