校園視覺標識設計,在人與環境之間扮演著溝通的角色。使用者可以透過視覺標識的引導,在校園中順利探路,而校園視覺標識設計具有改善校園視覺環境,賦予人們更舒適、便利的生活的功能。然而現今的校園視覺標識,卻面臨品質與視覺問題,如:標識外觀、色彩、材質、尺寸高低等視覺構成,皆缺乏統一標準,因此與學校環境無法有視覺統整。造成上述問題的主因,是標識設計缺乏設計原則所導致。因此,現階段的校園視覺標識確實有建立設計原則的必要。本研究由觀察校園視覺現況著手,思索校園標識設計的原則,為建立適用於校園標識設計之參考原則,以文化大學、中原大學以及雲林科技大學作為研究個案,運用「現象學」的實地探索與訪問方式,蒐集校園視覺標識設計圖片與記錄使用者對校園視覺標識的使用意見等。研究過程從三所學校與三十個訪問案例中,分析歸納其中的共通問題點,並進一步轉化成可供未來設計者參考的校園視覺標識設計原則。
Signs help people find their way on campus and holistically serve as a significant role of communication between people and environment. It improves the visual environment of campus into completion and provides people with more comfortable and convenient life. The lack of principles of sign design on campus results in some problems with quality and visual construction, such as shapes, colors, textures and dimensions. It entails the principles of sign design on campus. Following the qualitative methods of phenomenological analysis, this research conducted on-site observation and data collection at Chinese Culture University, Chung Yuan Christian University and National Yunlin University of Science & Technology. In-depth data analysis included 3 cases and 30 interview samples. This results in findings pertaining to wayfinding behavior and user preference for sign design, In turn it can be converted into sign design principles for campus under study.
