This research aims to study the correlation between service quality, life learning programs, and environmental perception of the dormitory autonomous committee staff. Personal background variables, service quality of the dormitory autonomous committee staff, and life learning program perception are used as influencing factors, and the study explores their correlations with environmental perception. This study is based on a questionnaire survey conducted among the male and female students living in the dormitory of a private university in central Taiwan during the 2019 academic year. The sample included 1,489 valid participants, with 596 males and 893 females. The research findings reveal that the following: 1)A variance analysis of the influence of different personal background variables on various research dimensions indicated that sophomore female residential students who have spent one semester living on campus, worked part-time, and served on the dormitory autonomous committee demonstrated a higher level of recognition toward the service quality of the committee staff. Moreover, sophomore and junior students who have worked part-time and served on the committee exhibited a higher level of recognition toward dormitory life and learning programs. Finally, sophomore and junior female residential students who have spent one semester living on campus, worked part-time, and served on the committee have a higher degree of identification with the environment perception. 2)In this study, the service quality of the dormitory autonomous committee staff is positively correlated with the perception of dormitory life and learning programs. Furthermore, both the parameters have explanatory power for and positive correlations with environmental perception. a.Organizational/structural model: Significant predictors included five or more semesters of college residence experience; on-campus and off-campus part-time work experience; implementing dormitory administration affairs and life management, promoting interaction among peers, maintaining the rights of residential students, and improving the function of dormitory education in terms of the service quality of the dormitory autonomous committee staff; and dormitory life and learning programs in terms of interpersonal interaction and learning experience, with an explanatory power of 78.2%. b.Common group trait model: Significant predictors include the College of Construction and Development; permanent addresses located in Eastern Taiwan; two academic years of experience serving on the dormitory committee; implementing dormitory administration affairs and life management, promoting interaction among peers, and maintaining residential students’ rights related to the service quality of the dormitory autonomous committee staff; and dormitory life and learning programs related to interpersonal interaction and learning experience, with an explanatory power of 51.2%. c.Perceptual/constructive model: Significant predictors include on-campus and off-campus part-time work experience; one academic year of experience of working on the dormitory committee; implementing dormitory administration affairs and life management, maintaining the rights of residential students, and improving the function of dormitory education in terms of the service quality of the dormitory autonomous committee staff; and dormitory life and learning programs in terms of interpersonal interaction and learning experience, with an explanatory power of 67.5%. d.Physical model: Significant predictors include being a male; the College of Construction and Development; one semester of college residence experience; one academic year of experience serving on the dormitory committee; implementing dormitory administration affairs and life management, promoting interaction among peers, and maintaining the rights of residential students in terms of the service quality of the dormitory autonomous committee staff; and dormitory life and learning programs in terms of interpersonal interaction and learning experience, with an explanatory power of 54%. e.The overall environmental perception: Significant predictors include College of Construction and Development, International School of Technology and Management, and others in the category of colleges; on-campus, off-campus, and both on-campus and off-campus part-time work experience; implementing dormitory administration affairs and life management, promoting interaction among peers, maintaining the rights of residential students, and improving the function of dormitory education in terms of the service quality of the dormitory autonomous committee staff; and dormitory life and learning programs on interpersonal interaction and learning experience, with an explanatory power of 80.1%.
