In line with the evolution of social developments and life style changes, roles, functions as well as importance of recreation are gaining more and more notice and respect by the public. This research focuses on the discussion of relations between work types and recreation needs. Targeting at the work class in Kaohsiung area, a total of 980 questionnaires had been issued, with 726 effective questionnaires collected. A sole factor dada analysis is been employed in this research. The result demonstrates that workers with varied work characteristics show apparent recreation need differences either in hobbies or in health care. Workers take leisure time to develop hobbies pay more attention to work complexity; while workers have creation health-care needs treat more on work importance.
