近年來人類壽命的延長以及老化人口的攀升,使得老人餘年生活變得更為多彩多姿,木球運動孕育而出,對體育界有著莫大的貢獻,尤其是對老人提升身心健康與成功老化過程中扮演著重要角色,木球運動更是老人健康促進行為的參與項目之一,從過去的研究實證得知,規律從事休閒運動是成功老化的最佳途徑。休閒規劃者,必須能掌握休閒內容、休閒技能、休閒環境、動機因素與推展策略,才能發揮休閒本有的價值。綜觀相關文獻得知:老人從事木球運動動機多為追求健康,因木球運動具有促進生理與心理健康之功能,也會影響老人對健康促進的生活型態,故木球運動對提升老人健康促進層次、改善自我照顧行為能力、延緩老化具有正面價值,本文之建議策略可提供有關單位未來推展老人參與木球運動之參考。
In recent years, due to the prolonging of life expectancy and the rising of ageing population, the lives of the elderly have become more colorful and interesting. Woodball has provided great contributions to the sports world, especially to the elderly in increasing physical and mental health, as well as in successful aging. Woodball is a participatory item that promotes the health of the elderly. Past empirical research has shown that regular exercise is the best path toward successful aging. However, recreational activity planners must have control over the content, capabilities, environment, motivational factors, and promotional strategies in order to realize the value of recreation. Related literature shows that most elderly people who play Woodball are in pursuit of health; the mental and physical functions of Woodball influence the attitudes and lifestyles of the elderly toward health promotion, and are beneficial toward their self-care ability. The exercise value of Woodball enhances the levels of elderly health promotion, and is effective in slowing the effects of aging, Improve self-care capacity, promoting health, and alleviating stress. These are the best motivations for promoting elderly participation in Woodball. Suggestions in this paper can serve as a reference for government institutions in the future promotional strategies of elderly participation in Woodball.
