本文在於探討視覺設計中,影像經由複製與再現之後所形成的概念與意義,透過相關的影像理論分析,以了解影像在目前視覺傳達設計中將會有何種可能性的現象詮釋與用途。本文以Walter Benjamin, Roland Barthes, Jean Baudrillard, Vilem Flusser,及Susan Sontag等多位學者對於影像複製與再現的相關論述中,分析比較在面臨新的數位科技媒材沖擊下,影像在視覺設計中將會扮演何種角色與定位。全文探討以下幾項重點:1)媒材對影像複製與再現的影響,2)「再現」起於媒體,3)影像的再現與「賦型」,4)結論-影像概念的新思維。
The significance, possibilities, and usage of image in the visual communication design are explored through the examination of the theories of Walter Benjamin, Roland Barthes, Jean Baudrillard, Vilem Flusser, Susan Sontag, etc. The reproduction and representation of image and the role they play in the visual communication design have been influenced and changed in the digital era. The main subjects of this paper include the impact of different media to the reproduction of image, i.e. comparison of mechanical and digital reproduction; the representation and ”in-formation” of image; and the latest thoughts regarding image and what it provokes.
