摘要

本研究之主要目的在於評估WTA職業網球選手的比賽績效，所採用的研究方法為資料包絡分析法(data envelopment analysis, DEA)，以其CRS模式及VRS模式分別計算網球選手在總效率、技術效率及規模效率的效率值和相關資料。本研究引用WTA官方網站的一項投入指標－「比賽項數」及五項產出指標－「累積獎金」、「室內賽盤勝率」、「戶外賽盤勝率」、「搶七勝率」及「三盤比賽的勝率」做為評估選手績效之指標。接受評估之選手有50位，其中具有總效率的選手有4位，具有技術效率者有11位，具有規模效率者有5位。影響選手績效表現的重要指標是「室內賽盤勝率」及「三盤比賽的勝率」兩指標。另外，發現兩位選手可做為其餘選手改善自身績效時的學習典範。最後，網球項目的績效評估處於剛起步階段，本研究之評估結果可提供一個例證，冀希可以引發更多之相關研究，以帶給個別選手及國家網球水準的正向提升及發展。

This study was aimed to evaluate the performances of WTA players. The CRS and VRS modes of data envelopment analysis methods were used to calculate the overall efficiencies, technical efficiencies and scale efficiencies of WTA players. In this study, one input measure (number of tournament play) and five output measures (cumulative prize money, indoor game set win ratio, outdoor game set win ratio, tie break win ratio and three set game win ratio) were selected to be the evaluation measures. Among 50 WTA players, 4 players were evaluated to be overall efficient, 11 players to be technical efficient and 5 players to be scale efficient. Indoor game set win ratio and three set game win ratios were the two measures that mostly affect the performances of WTA players. Two players were evaluated to be the benchmarks of other WTA players. This study provided another practical case study in performance evaluation of tennis players. Other researches in this area are expected to promote the tennis development in our country.
