本研究設計一個多人多媒體的互動機制,將純文字的聊天室增加上傳圖片分享及上傳聲音播放的功能,利用多樣化的媒體組合,吸引學習者踴躍參與討論,並讓學習者能不受打字速度的限制,能更便利表達意見。此一多媒體的互動系統僅需要一般的網路頻寬與多媒體設備即可,同時此多人多媒體的互動機制,幾乎可以達到即時互動效果,而且使用者還可以自我控制媒體的播放,也就是學習進度的控制。我們實作此一互動系統並進行課程實驗,然後進行問卷調查與訪談,並針對互動的內容進行分析,其結果顯示學生非常踴躍參與此多媒體的互動活動,且在主題明確的引導下,內容大都與課程相關,對同學在主題討論的質與量有相當大的提升。而其滿意度也相當高,甚至出乎意料之外,學生在互動討論的時候,就表達意見:『希望以後的課程能夠多多採用此種互動方式來進行』。
This research describes and presents evidence supporting a multi-user and multimedia interaction mechanism. The mechanism is a combination of various media, such as text, uploaded pictures and sharing designed to attract the attention and participation of learners. Learners can easily involve themselves and express their opinions while using the mechanism. Network bandwidth and multimedia equipment requirements of the mechanism are very low. However, the interaction system can allow multiple users to share their opinions via multimedia in almost real time. Also, learners can chose which media to use and show and then control their learning progress by themselves. The interaction system was implemented and student opinions were gathered through questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that learners enthusiastically enjoyed the mechanism. In fact during the implementation, the learners expressed the hope that the multimedia interaction would be used often.
