多元文化課程於臨床護理人員培育之運用

Application of Multicultural Education to Cultivate Cultural Competence of Clinical Nurses

摘要


隨著醫療國際化,第一線護理人員首當其衝,臨床護理人員須具備文化敏感性與文化照護能力,方能提供文化適切性護理以滿足不同族群之個案護理照護需求,亦為臨床護理人員未來發展之重要之護理能力之一。本文透過討論跨文化護理與多元文化能力概念,引導護理人員理解文化照護能力,介紹評估量表以評估並了解自身文化照護能力,並提供多元文化教育概念以了解多元文化教育之重要性與課程設計方法。最後,透過結合多元文化教育課程與實務操作於護理人員養成教育及臨床在職教育中,進而提升臨床護理人員之文化照護能力。期盼透過本文能提升臨床護理人員對文化照護之認知與興趣,達到提供全人護理之目的。

Problems relating to multicultural recognition in Taiwan have become more significant, as the general population is becoming more culturally diverse, which has increased the need for outreach and cultural training to serve these populations. The purpose of this article is to reveal the importance of cultural competence of clinical nurses in Taiwan, introduce the concept of cultural competence and the assessment tool, so that the notion of multiple cultural education training course or workshops impacting clinical nurses' cultural knowledge and cultural competency may be developed and provided. It is expected that clinical nurses will explore notions of cultural competence and achieve holistic nursing care by providing culturally appropriate care.
