專家與新手魔術師表演魔術之研究－以臺灣魔術師為例

摘要

劉謙自2009年於大陸的中央電視台春節聯歡晚會上表演魔術，一夕之間便帶動了全中國熱愛魔術的風潮。到了2010年，劉謙再度受邀上春晚表演魔術，之後便舉辦了「劉謙2010謙變萬化世界巡迴之旅」，先後在大陸各地巡迴演出，可見魔術的風潮再度席捲而來。本研究基於此熱潮，想進一步探討專家與新手魔術師表演魔術之間的差異，於是先著手進行魔術相關文獻的收集、整理與分析，以西方魔術、中國魔術及臺灣魔術的演進與發展為背景，了解各地專家魔術師的表演方式，並深入了解現代魔術的狀況，進而歸納出本研究的三個主軸，分別為魔術師特質、魔術表演及魔術效果。研究方法採用的是質性研究，針對臺灣的專家與新手魔術師進行深度訪談，探討二者之間在魔術師特質上的差異，如何表演魔術及如何呈現魔術效果？接著進行訪談資料分析，歸納出魔術師的八個特質：學習動機、學習策略、感官認知、專家知識、思考邏輯、練習程度、問題處理、自我監控，並找出專家與新手的差異所在；探討專家與新手魔術師的舞台魔術與近景魔術表演方式；專家與新手魔術師呈現的魔術效果及觀眾感受的程度。結果發現觀眾觀看魔術表演的感受程度，不是取決於魔術師的好壞，也不是魔術表演的內容，而是觀眾本身對於魔術認知上的多寡來決定。最後針對臺灣魔術發展、專家與新手魔術師及後續研究發展提供相關建議，並提出研究限制以供後續研究者參考。

Magic has always been a fascination to the people around the world. This thesis will analyze the magic performance by professional and novice magicians. It will further give some examples of Taiwanese magicians to illustrate the influence of magic in Taiwan. Since the 2009 magic performing in Spring Festival Evening Show on CCTV in China, Lu-Chen has led the wave of all the Chinese passion of magic. In 2010, Lu-Chen was invited to the Spring Festival Evening Show again; furthermore, they held the "World Magic Tour of Lu-Chen in 2010" touring which caused great influence across China.
On account of this upsurge, this study will undertake a further research on the differences between professional magicians and novices. Firstly, we collected, integrated, and analyzed relevant literatures, employing western, Chinese, and Taiwanese magic revolutions and developments as background to understand the situation of contemporary magic, which can be summarized into three themes of this study: magician’s characters, magic shows and magic effects. By using qualitative research methods, we visited some expert magicians and novices in Taiwan for thorough interviews to examine the character differences between them and the way they perform and present the magic effects.
The next part of this thesis will further discuss the data analysis of the interviews to generalize the following eight characteristics of magicians: learning motivation, learning strategies, sensory cognition, expert knowledge, pondering logic, degrees of practicing, problem solving, and self-monitoring in order to find out the variation of them, such as the performing modes of stage magic and close up magic, the magic effect and audience reception between an expert and an novice.
The results of this thesis indicate the audience’s reactions when watching magic shows depend neither on the professional standard of the magicians nor on the contents of the performance, but on the amount of how much of their identification of magic. Last but not least, this study also addresses related issues and limits for follow-up researches in connection with magic development, expert magicians and novices in Taiwan.
