The purpose of this study was to explore school-life adaptation of grandparenting student with low socioeconomic status in the elementary school by a case study. The conclusions of this study were as follows: First, the grandparent's expectation toward the grandchildren was based on the character and economy. The desire of a better life could hence be reflected. Secondly, the teacher was really important for grandparenting student about the lessons-learning, daily-life behavior and peer-relationships. The caring of the teacher could not only make up the insufficiency of the family function, but also reduce the difficulties of school life adaptation. The teachers also highly expected that the student could perform well in the school-work, social interaction, future work and family life, and grow grateful thanking. As a result, the caring and expectant characteristics of the teacher could be revealed.
