本研究調查國高中青少年的流行音樂偏好與態度,並剖析與地區、年齡、性別、家中有無鋼琴等基本背景因素,及同儕參與、家庭認同、媒體涉入等環境因素的關係。本樣本爲台北與高雄市國高中生共1674人,調查工具爲自編之「青少年流行音樂偏好與態度調查問卷」。研究發現:(1)北高兩市青少年流行音樂偏好類型有差異,高雄市青少年對通俗歌曲及節奏藍調的喜好度高於台北市。(2)國中生偏好通俗歌曲,高中生對節奏藍調、搖滾與其他類接受度較高。(3)女生除嘻哈音樂外對其他流行音樂的喜好均高於男生。(4)家中有、無鋼琴者的流行音樂態度沒有差異。(5)通俗歌曲與搖滾音樂的偏好度是推估青少年流行音樂態度的有效指標。(6)同儕與媒體對青少年流行音樂影響大於家庭。
The purpose of the present study is to survey the preference and attitude toward popular music among Taiwanese middle and high school adolescent. The factors investigated in this study include demographic background (region, age, sex), owing a piano or not, environment (peer group, family, mass media). The subjects are equal number of middle and high school students from Taipei and Kaohsiung municipal area. The total number of students studied is 1,647. The main research tool is a questionnaire developed to investigate adolescent preference and attitude toward popular music. The results of the study are: (1)subjects from Taipei and Kaohsiung have different popular music preferences; (2)middle school students prefer pop music whereas high school students prefer R&B, rock and others; (3)girls show higher preference in all popular music except hip-pop; (4)no difference in attitude can be seen between those students who own a piano and those who do not; (5)preference toward pop and rock music are good indicators for poplar musical attitude among adolescent; (6)effects of peer group and mass media on subjects' preference and attitude toward popular music are much higher than their family members.
