Among a rich variety of psychological counseling theories, rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), emphasizing in initiative and educational persuasion, has been wildly applied in sport psychology consulting process. There are many supporting literatures in the intervention effects. Successful case examples are also not rare in practical sport psychology consulting experience. This article aims to promote the application of rational emotive behavior therapy through introducing the development, theory base, and the applying principles of this approach.
